GRAND COULEE, Wash. – A “hit list” was emailed between two Lake Roosevelt High School students in late April according to the Grand Coulee Dam School District.

The district says that the student who allegedly wrote the list sent it to another student, who agreed to help.

“Two out of the five students were named. The other three students were not identified; however, after beginning the investigation, the administration figured out the name of another student who they may be targeting,” a letter sent to parents said.

The Grand Coulee Police Department is currently investigating the list according to the school district. The students who allegedly made the threats are not currently allowed to attend classes.

One of the students involved in the alleged conduct was already on an “emergency removal” according to the school.

According to the Grand Coulee Police Department, the students were arrested, charged, arraigned and released. Police are coordinating with the prosecutor’s office on next steps as of May 7.

This is a developing story. More information will appear as available.
