1 dead after vehicle versus pedestrian crash on State Highway 67 near Mountain Home

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — One person is dead after being hit by a car on State Highway 67 near Mountain Home Tuesday night.

On Nov. 14 around 5:30 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on northbound State Highway 67 near milepost 7, west of Mountain Home.

As law enforcement arrived on scene, they found that a 71-year-old woman driving a 2008 Nissan Titan was heading northbound on State Highway 67 when she hit a pedestrian standing in the lane.

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old woman from Mountain Home, died on scene due to her injuries.

Both lanes of traffic on northbound State Highway 67 were closed for three hours as emergency crews were on scene to help clear the scene.

According to ISP, the 71-year-old driver was not transported to the hospital.
