CHATTAROY, Wash. — Two people are seriously injured, including one person transferred to the hospital via Life Flight, after a crash near Chattaroy.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash happened on April 20 on North Newport Highway and East Chattaroy Road. WSP said the initial investigation indicates speeding was a factor.
The driver of both vehicles were transferred to the hospital, one by Life Flight. Their condition remains unknown.
WSP said the road will be closed for an extensive period, and there is no estimated time for reopening. SR 2 was shut down for Life Flight to land. You should avoid the area.
