SPOKANE, Wash. — A 13-time convicted felon is back behind bars after he stole a car and ran from police multiple times.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on 27-year-old Christopher C. Bacon. SPD said when the officer activated their emergency lights, Bacon took off, swerving through heavy downtown traffic.
SPD developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police. SPD also learned Bacon had a DOC warrant out for robbery.
On June 15, officers found the suspect at an apartment complex in north Spokane. SPD said officers observed him getting into the passenger side of a car. Officers pinned the vehicle, and the suspect immediately ran.
Officers arrested Bacon for possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude a police vehicle and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
Bacon has 13 other felony convictions, including possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a stolen vehicle, burglary and money laundering.
Bacon was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a $90,000 bail.
