2 dead, 1 critically injured after DUI crash near Rockford

SPOKANE, Wash. — Two teens are dead, and one young man suffers critical injuries after a on Saturday evening.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) confirmed Jesse Roullier, 33, was driving northbound on SR 27 when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a red Ford Focus with three people inside.

When WSP arrived on the scene and contacted Roullier, who had an obvious sent of intoxicants coming from him and his car. He told WSP he had a couple of shots about an hour before he got in his car to drive home. After a field sobriety test, WSP placed Roullier under arrest for DUI.

WSP confirmed two occupants of the Ford, Rogan Murrell, 18, and Jayneat Morgan, 17, died from their injuries. The third passenger, Noah Laitinen, 18, was taken to the hospital by LifeFlight, where WSP said his injuries were severe, with a “significant possibility of death.”

Roullier was booked into the Spokane County Jail for DUI, Vehicular Assault and Vehicular Homicide. His bail was set for $2,000,000.
