2 dead, 2 detained after shooting at Yakima Safeway

YAKIMA, Wash. – A shooting in Yakima left two people dead on Fri., Nov. 8, according to Sergeant Mark Grow from the Yakima Police Department.

YPD officers responded on Friday evening to reports of shots fired at the Safeway at 2200 Nob Hill Boulevard.

One person was pronounced dead in the Safeway parking lot while the other died in the hospital. Two suspects are now in custody after a chase.

Grow says the shooting is believed to be a targeted attack, however it is unknown if it was gang related.

No one else was injured, per Grow.
