WILBUR, Wash. — A crash between a motorcycle and a car on State Route 2 in Wilbur left two people injured, including a 13-year-old passenger.
According to a release from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), at about 7 p.m. on August 1, a motorcycle and a car were traveling eastbound on State Route 2 at milepost 222. The car attempted to turn into a Dollar General parking lot, but the motorcycle driver tried to pass the car, resulting in the crash.
WSP reported that both the motorcycle and car drivers were injured. The motorcycle driver was airlifted to a hospital, while the passenger in the car, a 13-year-old boy, was transported by ground to a local hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Troopers at the scene noted that both vehicles were totaled and indicated that the motorcycle driver could face charges of second-degree negligent driving.
