The Miss Universe Organization announced that the 2019 MISS UNIVERSE® competition will air live from Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, GA. The competition will air LIVE on FOX, and be simulcast in Spanish exclusively on Telemundo on Sunday, Dec. 8 (7:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). Five-time Emmy® Award winner Steve Harvey returns to host for the fifth year in a row. 

“The Miss Universe telecast is distributed to over 170 countries,” said Paula M. Shugart, president of The Miss Universe Organization. “We have always been proud to give a global platform to diverse, ambitious and strong young women – our leaders of tomorrow.” 

The three-hour event will feature women representing more than 90 countries competing in multiple categories, including personal statement, swimsuit, evening gown and interview, and will result in the reigning Miss Universe, Catriona Gray from the Philippines, crowning her successor.   

“This year has completely changed my life, both professionally and personally,” said Gray. “Being a part of the legacy that is Miss Universe and lending my voice to causes I care deeply about, including education for the underprivileged and HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention, has made this role immensely fulfilling. I am so excited to see which of these amazing women gets this opportunity next.”

In addition to the live FOX broadcast, “2019 MISS UNIVERSE®” will be simulcast in Spanish exclusively on Telemundo.
