SPOKANE, Wash. – A 5-month-old baby who was allegedly shook, slapped and thrown by his mother died Thursday night after several days in the hospital.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the infant died of injuries allegedly caused by his 22-year-old mother Amlyann Harry on Sunday night.
Harry is accused of violently shaking and throwing her son, causing a brain bleed and significant bodily damage.
Her assault charge will be amended to a first-degree murder charge according to the sheriff’s office.
She remained in Spokane County Jail on a $1 million bond Friday as the legal status of the domestic abuse case against her evolved into a potential murder investigation.
