CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho — A 67-year-old man has died following a crash on Highway 12 near Orofino.
According to the Idaho State Patrol (ISP), the crash occurred Wednesday around 10 a.m. when a pickup truck traveling westbound on Highway 12 near milepost 39 drifted across the eastbound lane, entered a ditch, and rolled over.
The truck was occupied by a 67-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman, both from Orofino. ISP confirmed that both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The occupants sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The highway was partially blocked for about 30 minutes while first responders investigated the scene.
