CLARKSTON, Wash. – Detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force arrested a suspect after they found 700 fentanyl pills in his possession.

On Thursday afternoon, April 25, detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force, supported by the Lewiston Police Department and the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office issued a search warrant on a home located on the 1400 block of Pound Lane in Clarkston.

Police said during the search, approximately 700 Fentanyl pills and 1.5 ounces of packaged Fentanyl powder were seized. 62-year-old Richard Almeida of Clarkston was arrested and booked into the Asotin County Jail on a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Fentanyl).

Detectives said this is not the first drug-related arrest at this location; a similar incident occurred in January when 69-year-old Robert Bergamo was arrested under similar charges at the same address.
