While the WorkSource One-Stop Campus, housing WorkSource Spokane, the Next Generation Zone, and the Resource Center for Spokane County, serves as a central hub for career and social services in downtown Spokane, it is essential to recognize that not everyone can easily access this location within our county. To ensure convenient access for all residents, there are multiple access points throughout Spokane County that provide the same valuable services and connect individuals with the right resources.
In addition to the WorkSource One-Stop Campus, the Spokane Workforce Council has established various access points throughout the county in partnership with various community agencies, as well as a kiosk at the NorthTown Mall for to connect with mall visitors to provide information about career services. These initiatives aim to bring community access and raise awareness about the comprehensive services offered.
Access points for WorkSource Spokane include all Spokane Public Libraries and Spokane County Libraries. By leveraging these established community spaces, individuals from all corners of the county can readily access WorkSource’s knowledgeable staff and valuable resources. The libraries serve as information hubs where residents can learn more about the services provided at the WorkSource One-Stop campus by a trained member of the library staff.
There is also incredible collaboration happening with the local community colleges; both Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane Community College serve as connection sites and valuable resources for career services and can guide individuals. These educational institutions are equipped to aid and support individuals seeking guidance in their career development journeys and are knowledgeable about how to make a referral to the WorkSource Campus when necessary.
To further extend their reach, WorkSource has partnered with Fairchild Air Force Base (FAFB) to ensure military personnel and their families stationed at FAFB have access to career services. WorkSource staff are available within the Airman and Family Readiness Center on FAFB and are equipped to address the specific needs faced by military and military adjacent individuals.
Additional access points include YWCA, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, the Next Generation Zone and the Resource Center of Spokane County. By strategically establishing these access points throughout Spokane County, WorkSource aims to bridge the gap in accessibility and ensure that career and social services are available to all residents. Whether at public libraries, educational institutions, military bases, or community organizations, individuals can find the assistance they need to navigate their career paths effectively.
