SPOKANE, Wash. — A couple of Washinton State Bills are headed their way to be signed by Jay Inslee.

Public schools in Washington are now required to teach lessons on the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community and their perspectives. The Attorney General’s Office is also creating a hate crime hotline.

Gun owners will now be fined $1,000 if they do not report within 24 hours their guns if they go missing or are stolen.

A Washington bill will also create an IRA for workers who need access to a 401k through their employer.
