SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Transit Authority made a significant move toward reducing the Lilac City’s carbon emissions last July with the launch of the electric City Line route. The line has served half-a-million riders as of Wednesday.
The STA line which transports riders along a six-stop route from Browne’s Addition through downtown to Spokane Community College was the first of its kind in Washington and was touted by city and state officials.
An additional zero-emission line is being considered on Division, which is currently served by the 25 line.
