SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane County Auditor Vicky Dalton confirmed that 26 ballots were discarded on the side of the road and were found on Thursday.
A community member found the 26 ballots on the side of the road yesterday and sent NonStop Local a video and picture of the discarded ballots.
Dalton confirmed to NonStop Local that the discarded ballots found on the road were real ballots.
Dalton says that she has contacted USPS on the matter and will investigate further.
The 26 ballots were part of the special April 23 election.
