AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Fairchild Airforce Base will host a PFAS Listening Session for those with questions about “forever chemicals” in the West Plains.
Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency, Washington Department of Ecology, Spokane Public Health Department, Air Force Civil Engineer Center and Fairchild AFB Civil Engineering Squadron will help guide the conversation addressing PFAS.
“This Listening Session will serve as an opportunity for Fairchild and other local, state, and federal agencies to answer questions posed by members of the community about PFAS in the West Plains. Subject matter experts will provide information and answer questions about PFAS and the whole-of-government response,” Sidney Walters, media operations chief for Fairchild AFB, said.
The free event will be held on April 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the Shriners event center.
