SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car crash that left one man dead and another injured near Northwest Spokane.
On April 10, at 4:25 p.m., Spokane County deputies responded to a reported car crash on North Pine Bluff Road near West Seven Mile Road.
Deputies stated that the caller told deputies that a person was unresponsive and tried to initiate CPR on him.
Spokane Traffic Unit Investigators also responded to the scene and investigated and collected evidence.
Deputies say the pickup turned onto North Pine Bluff Road from West Seven Mile Road and began to fishtail. The driver lost control and left the east side of the roadway, causing the vehicle to roll several times down a steep embankment.
Deputies say neither occupant was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Deputies also sat reckless driving behavior, possible impairment, and the lack of seat belt use appear to be contributing factors in the deadly car crash.
Spokane County deputies say this remains an active investigation.
