MOSCOW, Idaho — The man accused of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022 faces a key deadline in the pre-trial proceedings in his case on Wednesday, the day he must submit an alibi if he wants to use it at trial.
An August 2023 defense filing in the case of Bryan Kohberger provided a vague alibi that didn’t explicitly say where he was or what he was doing on the night of the murders.
Instead, that filing offered that Kohberger “” at night and that he did so on the night of Nov. 12, 2022.
The alibi wasn’t sufficient in the eyes of Latah County District Court Judge John Judge, who presides over the case.
Wednesday’s matter won’t be discussed in a public hearing. Kohberger is next due in court May 14 for a .
