SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley deputies arrested a woman after deputies found out she was a wanted felon. She was later found possessing illegal drugs in her sock.

On April 16, around 10:40 p.m., Spokane Valley deputies responded to a call from a man who was suspicious in the 900 block of North Sullivan. Deputies say the male has been looking into parked cars and was asked to leave the property.

Spokane Valley deputies say the male had a no-contact order. The male later stated he arrived with his girlfriend and was visiting a friend.

Deputies say they contacted the girlfriend to determine if the man violated his no-contact order.

The woman identified herself, but when deputies said when they checked the name, they learned it was an alias for 34-year-old Tiarra A. Pedraza, and she had an active felony warrant for Second Degree Burglary.

Spokane Valley deputies say when they walked Pedraza over to her car, they noticed Pedraza making suspicious movements behind her back. When the Deputy turned toward Pedraza, she jumped, and a gray woman’s sock dropped behind her back to the ground.

A deputy asked Pedraza if the sock contained drugs, but she insisted it was already on the ground and she had only stepped on it.

The deputy found 63 blue pills believed to contain fentanyl, two plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, and two multicolored silicone containers with suspected fentanyl inside.

Pedraza was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for two counts of Knowingly Possessing a Controlled Substance and her felony warrant.

She remains in custody on these charges, along with unrelated charges for Theft and Violations of a Domestic Violence Order, with her total bond set at $7,750.

Deputies determined the male they had initially contacted was not violating a no-contact order, and he was released at the scene without charges.
