SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man who fired several shots at a police officer was convicted of attempted 1st degree murder on Friday.
Robert Talley fled police officers on Aug. 6, 2023. Talley was chased from Airway Heights by police responding to a call that he had been in an argument all the way to an apartment complex on Sunset Highway.
He sped the wrong way through traffic in an attempt to evade law enforcement. He then crashed into a wall of the apartment complex and then fired several shots at an officer.
Talley was arrested that night and has been in the custody of Spokane County since August.
He had 21 prior criminal convictions before his additional convictions for attempted murder and attempting to elude police on Friday.
