WALLACE, Idaho – Stickers and flyers from the white supremacist hate group Patriot Front were posted around downtown Wallace on Friday.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said that the individuals responsible for posting the material were arrested and cited for a misdemeanor offense. They were released by law enforcement later on Friday.
It is not clear what misdemeanor those individuals were cited for, but the sheriff’s department stated that the investigation is now over.
Patriot Front is classified as a white supremacist group by the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
Five Patriot Front members after a U-Haul full of devotees to the hate group wearing riot gear were detained by police on their way to an LGBTQ+ pride parade in Coeur d’Alene in 2022.
Flyers distributed across Wallace included anti-government phrases including “for a new American nation state” and “reclaim America.”
There were 21 antigovernment and hate groups active in Idaho in 2022 according to the SPLC.
