KOOTENAI COUNTY, Wash. — A homicide suspect from Las Vegas was arrested in Kootenai County on Saturday.
On April 26, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) and the Coeur d’Alene Police Department (CDAPD) were notified by law enforcement in Las Vegas that a homicide suspect may be in Kootenai County.
Lennix M. Dockery, 18, and two others are accused of shooting and killing a 16-year-old in Las Vegas earlier this month. The two other suspects were arrested, but KCSO said Dockery fled after the shooting.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department Community Action Team confirmed Dockery was most likely staying in Rathdrum, and KCSO obtained a search warrant for the home.
Early morning on April 27, the Kootenai County Joint Agency SWAT Team was called to the home and made announcements for Dockery to exit. Law enforcement could arrest him without further incident.
