Yakima is the most prominent city for Washington LGBTQ+ policymakers this month

YAKIMA, Wash. – Tacoma, Seattle and Spokane may be the urban centers which host the largest number of LGBTQ+ Washingtonians, but Yakima will be the most significant city for policy issues pertaining to the community throughout May.

The Washington State LGBTQ Commission will host a public meeting at the Yakima City Hall Council Chambers on May 17. While the public agenda for the gathering has yet to be announced,

The Washington Say It Out Loud Conference will begin just two days later on May 19 at the Yakima Convention Center. Hosted by the Washington Health Care Authority, the conference will focus on LGBTQ+ healthcare disparities.

Over the course of a week, the Evergreen State’s leading LGBTQ+ policy experts will have a busy schedule with two major events held in central Washington.
