AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Two men were arrested by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office for stealing a car from a Post Falls parking lot.
Deputies received an alert on May 6 about the stolen car heading towards Airway Heights. Later that day, they found the unoccupied stolen vehicle on Highway Two.
The suspects returned to the scene, but one fled. The driver, 23-year-old David Alik, and the passenger, 24-year-old Teffery T.R. Karben, were apprehended.
Karben had a warrant for his arrest, and deputies found the stolen car’s key fob in his pocket. Both had prior convictions for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Alik was caught driving the stolen car, and Karben was found with the key fob, leading to their arrest for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. A search also revealed methamphetamine in Alik’s possession.
