SPOKANE, Wash – Tim Simpson, who is involved in the Spokane Angel Alliance, Ignite Northwest, and the Kickstart Seed Fund, has a clear vision for Lilac City’s entrepreneurial landscape.

“I want to see multiple new startups emerging in our region,” said Simpson.

In 2023, Spokane Angel Alliance invested $5.4 million in eight companies. Spokane Angel Alliance has invested $76 million in 75 companies, including SecureSave.

CEO and CO-founder of SecureSave Devin Miller said having a local investor is more than just the check, “It’s pretty hard to replace those local connections that are going to literally and figuratively invest into you and invest in the community.”

Simpson added that, in his opinion, there is no downside to entrepreneurs coming and staying in the region; “it’s a win-win all around by having capital available for new companies.”
