GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — US 243 is open after a 100-acre fire blocked the roadway for hours on Monday.
According to the Washington State Patrol District 6, the closure was at milepost 23 and was a precaution due to visibility issues.
Northbound traffic was detoured up Beverly Burke Road, but southbound traffic could not be detoured.
WSP said fire activity remains active, so remain cautious throughout the area.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
