COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Parents and protesters articulated their frustration with the presence of LGBTQ+ students and educators at a Coeur d’Alene School District meeting on Monday.

The crowd of concerned community members repeatedly referenced a social media post which claimed that “gender confusion” was being spread in Coeur d’Alene public schools.

No LGBTQ+ history curriculum is taught in Coeur d’Alene public schools and transgender people due to a policy signed by Governor Brad Little (R) on April 9.

Though Idaho is several protesters and parents argued for more stringent regulations on Coeur d’Alene schools to discourage queer identity in schools.
