CHELAN, Wash. – A man was life-flighted to the hospital after driving off the road and landing into Lake Chelan on Monday evening.
Erik Korbely, 37, was driving westbound on SR 150 when he lost control and hit a guardrail on the eastbound side of the highway and flew into the lake.
According to Washington State Patrol the 2004 silver Infiniti came to a stop in the lake on its top and has not yet been recovered from the lake.
Korbely’s injuries are unknown, but he was life-flighted to the hospital. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash, as no other vehicles were involved.
