AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Fairchild Air Force Base will conduct a major accident response exercise on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Fairchild, loud sirens and emergency response vehicles may be seen near the exercise area in preparation for an upcoming airshow.

“It is important to have exercises like this prior to an air show to ensure first responders and other base entities can respond to a disaster,” Fairchild said.

On and off-base personnel will be involved in the exercises and focus on emergency readiness.
