BOISE, Idaho – Daniel T. Eismann, the former chief justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, died late Tuesday night in a Boise hospital.
Eismann spent 31 years in Idaho’s judiciary, serving at various levels of the state courts, including as chief justice from 2007 to 2011. He continued working in the judicial system until his retirement in 2017.
“Justice Eismann was a towering figure in the law, exemplifying the highest standards of judicial excellence and an unwavering commitment to justice throughout his distinguished career,” said current Chief Justice G. Richard Bevan on Wednesday. “He will be remembered for his significant contributions to the law and the profound influence he had on all who had the privilege of associating with him.”
