CHATTAROY, Wash. – A brush fire near Chattaroy has burned five acres of land, with firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 4 (SCFD 4) battling the fire.
According to SCFD 4, the fire originated in the vicinity of East Big Meadows Road and extended into a junkyard containing cars and tires.
SCFD 4 has confirmed no reported injuries, and they are making significant progress in containing the fire, aided by Spokane Fire District 9 and the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
Firefighters from County 4 have reported ongoing road closures on East Big Meadows Road and East Singletree Avenue, and the fire has not damaged any buildings or nearby structures.
