Spokane Sprague construction project affecting travelers for months

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The City of Spokane Valley started construction on the Sprague Multi-Modal Improvement Project on Monday with hopes to increase safety.

Crews will be working on the westbound Sprague Avenue between North University Road and North Herald Road and will mostly work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

During the construction Sprague will be reduced down to two lanes of traffic with expected delays.

Side streets and businesses will remain open during construction.

The project is set to be completed by this fall but depends on weather impacts and other circumstances that may arise. The project will specifically address drinking water protection, safety for travelers, and overall public safety.
