MOSCOW, Idaho. – Bryan Kohberger’s defense team secured access to more data and information that lead in part to his arrest for the murders of four University of Idaho students.
The decision to access this sealed information came after
Judge John Judge granted access to the sealed information as the defense prepares a family tree that previously was constructed without investigative genetic genealogy (IGG) information.
The state will provide the defense with the IGG information they have while allowing Kohberger’s mitigation expert to contact his immediate family members in the investigation.
In Kohberger’s next court appearance on June 27, they will address a timeline for next steps in the trial including deadlines for pre-trial materials, motions to challenge the death penalty, witness list, trial setting and juror questionnaires.
