CHELAN, Wash. — Chelan County deputies have been busy with the Pioneer Fire and rescue missions this weekend.

Deputies said they had been rescuing people caught in the wildfire’s path. These people were on remote Lakeside Trails when they encountered flames.

Law enforcement also airlifted an injured hiker on Saturday and climbed down a hillside to save a stranded dog that fell.
