SPOKANE, Wash. – A man was arrested on multiple charges after police spotted him stopped at a green light early Thursday morning.
On June 20, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported that Todd Perry, 36, was driving south on Dishman Mica, just south of Sprague when an officer noticed his vehicle stopped a car length away from the stop line.
Deputies observed Perry’s suspicious and erratic driving. After monitoring him for a few minutes, they pulled his vehicle over. The deputy approached Perry’s car and immediately noticed signs of impairment. Perry admitted to deputies that he had smoked meth “in the last day or two.” Subsequently, deputies conducted a sobriety test.
During the test, deputies discovered drugs inside Perry’s car, including burnt tinfoil with residue and a plastic pipe. Perry failed the sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Upon reviewing his record, deputies found Perry had prior convictions for impaired driving offenses, leading to his current arrest being charged as a felony.
Perry was booked into Spokane County Jail on new charges of felony DUI, along with misdemeanor charges of Driving while Suspended/Revoked and Driving without Required Interlock Installed, in addition to his outstanding warrants.
