KELLER, Wash. – The Keller Ferry, which operates on State Route 21 between the Colville Indian Reservation in Ferry County and Clark in Lincoln County, will temporarily close for maintenance repairs.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the ferry will be closed on Tuesday, June 25, and Wednesday, June 26, for a required five-year hull exam and routine scheduled maintenance.
The United States Coast Guard inspectors will conduct a dive operation to clean and inspect the vessel’s hull during this time. Additionally, WSDOT crews will perform annual preventative maintenance repairs.
WSDOT advises drivers planning to cross the Columbia River via SR 21 to use alternate routes such as SR 25 or SR 155 and SR 174 during the closure. Travelers should plan for additional travel time, as the detour may take up to an hour to complete.
