SPOKANE, Wash. – According to the Spokane Police Department a woman shot and killed her father overnight on Tuesday and then called to turn herself in.
Around 1 a.m. the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded to the woman’s report that her father had been shot multiple times.
When police arrived at the house near West Rowan Avenue and North Cochran Street, they found the woman sitting on her porch.
She had told police that she would cooperate and would be waiting outside for them.
Police entered the house and found a handgun and the woman’s father dead.
SPD said that there is no threat to the community as the woman is in custody and being questioned.
A search warrant was signed Tuesday morning for the house.
The identity of the man has not been released as the next of kin has not been notified yet.
