SPOKANE, Wash. – ParaSport Spokane received the Tom McTevia Memorial Award for their achievements in providing people with disabilities the chance to participate in local sports.
The Disability Action Center will be presenting this award to the group at the Disability Pride Celebration in Riverfront Park on July 27 in Riverfront Park.
ParaSport Spokane aims to empower people with disabilities by giving them chances to grow their confidence and independence through competitions and training.
They have over 8 different sporting and training options for people to choose from with options like wheelchair basketball and track and field.
