SPOKANE, Wash. — A man was arrested after an argument escalated into a drive-by-shooting on Saturday.
The Spokane Police Department (SPD) confirmed officers responded to the 3000 block of East Jackson Street for an argument. SPD said Harlen N. Cariss, 23, was accused of assaulting someone.
The victim’s dad confronted Cariss, and SPD said that’s when Cariss pulled a gun on him.
Cariss’s mom and brother arrived at the scene and were arguing when Cariss shot at the victim’s father and drove away.
Cariss was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, interfering with reporting of domestic violence and reckless endangerment. His bail was set for $250,000.
