SPOKANE, Wash. — A teenage girl was killed in a drive-by shooting just northwest of Emerson Park early Sunday morning, according to police.
In a release, a spokesperson for the Spokane Police Department said officers responded to a call of a possible drive-by shooting along West Courtland Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a teenage girl with what looked like a gunshot wound.
Police said the girl died at the scene of the apparent shooting.
After multiple calls for additional information, police could only confirm that the investigation is in its very early stages. Police at the scene weren’t yet able to provide details on the suspect or any vehicle associated with the shooting.
