CHENEY, Wash. – A brush fire in Cheney near Interstate 90 threatened several homes Tuesday evening.
According to Spokane County Fire District #3, people should avoid the area around I-90 Mile Post 263.
The Washington Department of Natural Resources says that the fire stood at 2-3 acres as of 4:30 p.m. and could potentially grow. A helicopter and several fire crews were at the scene Tuesday night working to get the fire contained.
