SPOKANE, Wash. – A small brush fire burned near Thorpe Road in Spokane County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Spokane Fire Department, the fire is on a hillside which makes it difficult for firefighters to address the flames. The Washington Department of Natural Resources is assisting local crews.
The fire was contained at around 5 p.m. and was less than a quarter of an acre.
