KELLER, Wash. – The Keller Ferry has resumed operations to help support residents evacuating the Swawilla Fire.
Evacuees should travel south on State Route 21 to the north landing of the Keller Ferry, which will transport them across the Columbia River to the south landing.
The ferry will run overnight as they carry people across the river and will not stop service.
The ferry previously was out of service since July 20, along with State Route 21 being closed from Manilla Creek Road at milepost 112 now to Cache Creek Road at milepost 124.
Travelers are advised to avoid the area due to ongoing wildfire activity.
