WALLACE, Idaho – Silver Valley Pride, an LGBTQ+ organization that promotes inclusivity in northern Idaho, kicked-off a year of Pride programming on Saturday.
“Splash Back Into Pride” included free swimming at the Wallace Pool, music, food and educational seminars.
While Pride events often take place in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, the Wallace event marked a new trend of LGBTQ+ visibility in smaller population centers throughout the Inland Northwest. In late June, at the Historic Pearl Theater.
Silver Valley Pride organizers said that the event was a success and highlighted the joyful community of queer people nestled in communities throughout northern Idaho.
