SPOKANE, Wash. – The three fires burning in the Spokane area near containment after multiple days of active flames.
The Columbia Basin Fire that started on July 26, has burned over 250 acres and destroyed 3 homes in the process.
Containment has reached 75% as of Tuesday morning and fire crews begin to mop-up along the perimeter of the fire.
The Upper Cemetary Fire that also began July 26, has burned just over 40 acers and has not destroyed any homes.
Fire crews also began mopping-up fire perimeters as containment reaches 60%.
The Mullen Hill Road Fire began on July 28, and is now 50% contained.
Over 45 people attacked the flames which limited its spread to only 9 acres of land and brush. No building were damaged in the fire.
