ROSALIA, Wash. – Have you ever wanted to participate in a book chain? The Rosalia Library is giving you the opportunity to help transport books in a two-block-long book chain.
The Rosalia Library and the Whitman County Library are hosting a ‘Help Pass the Books’ event on Aug. 6.
The idea is for volunteers to help transport books from the Rosalia Community Center to the new library at 526 South Whitman Avenue.
They hope to form a line along the nearly two-block stretch and pass the books until they reach the new location.
Last year, the library flooded, forcing the relocation.
A woman from Rosalia donated the new building to the town, allowing the library to move in.
