COLFAX, Wash. – Aaron Aung, father of 2-year-old Seraya Aung, was charged with custodial interference and booked into Whitman County Jail early Wednesday morning.
According to the Whitman County Jail, Aung was booked at 12 a.m. and is being held without bail.

The federal suit against Aung alleges that he knowingly fled the country with his daughter despite sharing custody with Samara Harmon, the 2-year-old’s mother.
Aung was initially detained in Mexico
He was then sent back to the United States by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and will remain in Whitman County until his trial.
