LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. – A victim in a golf cart was struck by a projectile in Liberty Lake, and police are seeking information about the incident.
According to the Liberty Lake Police Department, an assault occurred on Tuesday at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of North Lakeside Road and East Valley Way Avenue.
Officers reported that the victim was riding in a golf cart when a car passed by and reportedly said that an unknown projectile struck her, which she described as a pellet. No pellets were found at the scene. However, officers observed a green-colored residue where the victim was struck and believed the projectile and weapon used might be similar to an Orbeez bead and toy gun.
Police interviewed the victim and possible witnesses and documented that the suspect vehicle was a dark-colored passenger car.
