Pullman man who allegedly kidnapped daughter indicted in federal court

PULLMAN, Wash. – A Pullman man who allegedly failed to return his 2-year-old daughter to her mother in early June and absconded with the child to Mexico was arraigned in federal court Friday.

Aaron Aung was earlier this week. The US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington offered additional details Friday on how prosecutors are illustrating their case against Aung.

“June 3, 2024, Aung was supposed to travel to the Pullman Police Department for a custody exchange of [his daughter] with [her mother]. Aung and the victim never arrived…Instead, agents with the FBI and U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) obtained photos of a vehicle Aung was allegedly driving, which had crossed into Mexico,” a press release issued by the office said.
