LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — Topgolf, the popular golf driving range game featuring electronically tracked golf balls, may be coming to the Inland Northwest.

According to a code amendment request application from Liberty Lake, Topgolf is looking to construct a facility at 22710 East Country Vista Drive. The project is estimated to cost over $25 million and could create more than 250 jobs. The document also notes that a Topgolf location in Liberty Lake could generate approximately $14 to $17 million in annual revenue and attract significant interest from residents of both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.

The document states, “The amendment would accommodate the development of a Topgolf facility in the city, supporting one of the city’s chief goals of enhancing the quality of life in the community by promoting recreational opportunities, as outlined in the Vision Statement of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.”

The facility would be built on a 27-acre property, with Topgolf venues typically ranging from 55,000 to 74,000 square feet, according to the ARCO/Murray website.

The documents also mention, “A commercial outdoor recreation facility operating year-round would be an ideal combination of commercial and recreational use, which aligns with the economic development principles outlined in the city’s Comprehensive Plan.”

According to its website, Topgolf is a sports entertainment complex featuring a high-tech golf game accessible to everyone, complemented by a diverse food and beverage menu, all-weather hitting bays, and music.
